Kids & Us Community Childcare and Family Education Centres is a registered charitable non-profit organization, providing communities with licensed childcare in South-East Grey and Bruce Counties for over 30 years.
The Supervisor oversees all aspects of the Child Care Centre, including administration and personnel and also has the same responsibilities as program staff. The Supervisor must be a leader and demonstrate a strong theoretical background in child development and in addition, work experience in the care and guidance of children; communication with parents; and administrative skills. The Supervisor is responsible to oversee and maintain a high quality early childhood program and Before and After School Programs while successfully carrying out these principles and practices through professional teaching methods and leadership skills. The Child Care Supervisor must see that the Centre is run like a business and as such will maintain administrative organization and communication with management in the head office. As a leader, the Supervisor must support the program staff to plan, provide and co-ordinate a high quality program for all children registered in the program, and include all interrelated components including but not limited to, parent training and education and liaise with staff, social agencies, school boards were co-located, and the community. The successful candidate expected to commence employment/training in May 2024 and assume the position responsibilities in July 2024 or as arranged.
The successful application will have;
- Registered with the College of ECE
- First Aid Certification
- WHMIS
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Minimum two years experience in a licensed childcare program
- Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
- Supervisory experience an asset
- Their own transportation, some work related travel required.
