Source Office Furniture is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Reception and Admin Assistant at our Edmonton location. This is a full-time, permanent position; Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with an occasional Saturday shift rotation with a day in lieu during the week.

The Receptionist is the primary contact for all walk-in customers as well as incoming phone calls. The role involves administrative support in the form of assisting the sales team. Other administrative duties include but are not limited to filing and processing payments.

Main Responsibilities:

Reception

· Greet customers, determine the reason for their visit, provide basic information and direct them to the appropriate individual

· Answer multi-line telephone and provide information when requested; transfer calls to the appropriate party through the switchboard

· Complete customer sales using credit/debit machine

Administrative Support

· Enter sales orders on behalf of the sales representatives in the proprietary computer system

· Order office supplies and keep the storage room organized

· Make sure all furniture is tagged with up-to-date pricing

· Keep the showroom tidy, clean, and presentable

· General administrative tasks including filing, printing orders for ship-out, processing payments

Qualifications:

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (on the phone and in person)

· Attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task

· 2 years of receptionist or administrative support experience, preferably in a busy retail environment

· Highly effective communication skills

· Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
