Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and deliver impactful recreation programs for kids primarily aged 6-12 years. These activities will range from sports, cooking, adventure trips and virtual programs.
• Engages in and encourages member participation in programming activities.
• Provides high quality club experiences to members.
• Provide direct supervision of members, and ensures their health, safety, and wellness.
• Creates a safe and engaging environment in which the members can interact.
• Ensures that equipment and the facility are clean, well-maintained, and safe at all times.
• Uses Club vans to pick up members from school and transport to various sites.
• Follows Agency Policies and Procedures, Program Operating Standards, WCB standards, Community Care Licensing Regulations, Risk Management requirements and general safety standards.

Qualifications:

• A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children/youth in recreation, education or social services and/or one (1) year recent related experience.
• First Aid and Food Safe Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Class 4 Drivers License or willingness to obtain as soon as possible
• Ability to travel to different clubs throughout the West Kelowna and Peachland communities
• Successful completion of Agency Screening Process, including a criminal record check

Hours: Peachland, Schools Out Program Mondays & Wednesdays 2:00pm-4:30pm

Fridays, 5:00pm-8:30pm, Friday night Recreation Program rotates between clubs

Rate of Pay: $18.25 per hour plus cost shared benefits, vacation and sick time if working in a permanent role of 20 hours or more a week.
