Reporting to the Manager of HR and Culture, the Recruitment Specialist will have a passion for recruitment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Their focus will be on long term strategies to not only help meet our company’s recruitment needs today, but understand our needs in the future. They will not only help seek out the right candidates for us, but will get to know our current staff and who can move into leadership positions in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the management and leadership team on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices. Identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Source applicants with the use of a variety of recruitment methods, including our current ATS, LinkedIn, and other professional social media platforms, networking events and job fairs.
  • Create current and accurate job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the right requirements for each position.
  • Lead the recruitment process: participate in interviews, compile a list of the best candidates, perform reference checks and ensure all hiring criteria are met.
  • Initiate Employment Agreements for candidates and begin onboarding process,
  • Organize and attend hiring or recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
  • Maintain records for all new employees, including interview notes, resumes, and all related onboarding paperwork in our ATS.
  • Meet regularly with the HR Manager and leadership team to get a full-scale understanding of the hiring needs and available positions within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources Management or similar field preferred
  • 1 - 3 years experience in a recruitment, talent acquisition or similar role.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting with strong, practical experience with an ATS recruitment software
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness, working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in hiring
  • Proven experience in the continual development of talented people and sourcing potential candidates.
  • Strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR as well as HR policy and procedures.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered
