Position Summary

In accordance with the established vision, mission, and values on Northern Health (NH) and reporting directly to the Executive Director, Strategic Labour Relations & mNPR, the Regional Director, Human Resources (HR) Operations is responsible for developing short, middle and long-term Human Resource (HR) strategies to align the workplace environment and key union relationships with Northern Health's strategic plan. Liaises with Co-Directors to provide the leadership of a talented team of HR professionals to achieve the organization's mission, goals, values, and strategic directions. Provides leadership in policy development, priority setting, program planning and service delivery, in close collaboration with the HR Senior Management Team.
Starting salary will be approximately from $113,195 to $141,494 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
• Completion of a Masters degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in a large, complex unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Health care experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of current employment and labour acts and regulations and collective agreements.
• Knowledge of Human Resources best practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
