Responsibilities:

  • Your responsibility encompasses overseeing the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to formulate and execute operational strategies, driving operational excellence and efficiency across all branches in Western Canada. Ensure uniformity in service quality, productivity, and cost management.
  • Act as a bridge between headquarters and branches, making at least two annual visits to branches in Western Canada.
  • Guide and supervise Branch Operations Managers across Western Canada in their day-to-day operations. Cultivate a culture of cooperation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Establish clear performance objectives, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to propel team achievements.
  • Coordinate with management and provide recommendations on operational requirements to enhance market share and improve customer experience.
  • Enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service quality by monitoring and optimizing delivery routes.
  • Implement performance metrics and KPIs to gauge and monitor the achievements of Regional Operations.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies and formulate and execute effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, deliver constructive feedback, and address performance or disciplinary issues.
  • Forge close partnerships with e-commerce clients and logistics partners to comprehend their needs and ensure seamless synchronization.
  • Swiftly address client concerns and feedback to uphold robust client relationships.
  • Identify prospects for expansion and growth through a thorough understanding of client requirements and market trends.
  • Efficiently manage regional resources, including vehicles, equipment, and personnel, to fulfill operational demands and business goals.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other Regional Operations Managers to mutually drive growth and overall success.
  • Implement best practices and standardized operating procedures to augment operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the courier and logistics sector. Identify innovation and growth opportunities, propose strategic initiatives to enhance operational capabilities and gain competitive advantage.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate standards.
  • Guarantee compliance with safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines to ensure the safety of employees, customers, and assets.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrate 5 years of experience in last-mile logistics operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing Regional Operations across multiple branches or locations, and operating and scaling business
  • Strong understanding of courier and logistics operations, including last-mile delivery, express collection, fleet management, route optimization, and warehouse operations.
  • Exhibit exceptional aptitude for leadership and team management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset to identify areas for optimization and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for continuous learning, coupled with excellent organizational and coordination abilities, systematic thinking, and cost-consciousness.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to work effectively within a team
  • Familiarity with relevant industry software, technology solutions, and logistics management systems.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to various branches within Western Canada.
  • The ability to thrive in high-pressure work environments

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $104,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
