SalaryA division of Harris, Globys is seeking an intern to provide additional coverage for our governance, audit, and compliance work. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented cybersecurity intern/co-op to join our growing team. This individual will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects a, gain hands-on experience in network and application security, and be exposed to penetration testing. This is an intern position for 4-8 months starting May, 2024.
What your impact will be:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of network security controls
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team in conducting application security assessments
- Participate in vulnerability scans and penetration testing activities
- Analyze and research emerging threats and recommend solutions for mitigation
- Support the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
What we are looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of network and application security concepts
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
