Your opportunity:
This position is specific to a recently awarded multi-year partnership grant focused on improving quality sport experiences for youth, with a focus on understanding identity factors and a specific highlight on girls. The project is situated within the Mental Health and Physical Activity Research Centre (MPARC) in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto and led by Dr. Catherine Sabiston. The project team involces 66 researchers and community sport organizations with ample capacity for on-going growth. This position will be expected to integrate into MPARC, collaborate on research, and build knowledge mobilization strategies for community youth sport initiatives. Partnering with youth, coaches, parents, and sport leaders is an essential part of this role, as is liaising with industry leaders.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Developing project schedules including milestones, critical path, timelines, deliverables and reporting
-Producing complex statistical information
-Analyzing detailed statistical information to inform project direction
-Planning and implementing project phases
-Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
-Overseeing the data collection and analysis processes
-Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
-Planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects
Essential Qualifications:
-Master's Degree in Psychology, Kinesiology, and/or related fields including Engineering, Public Health, Social Work, and Rehabilitation Sciences or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
-Minimum five years leading strategic initiatives with stakeholders, engaging in knowledge translation activities, mentoring, and overseeing data collection and analysis processes
-Experience in collaborative work environments, mentoring, and knowledge translation
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills
-Exceptional project management skills to produce effective knowledge mobilization outputs and maintain team dynamics and flow of work
-Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
