Position Overview
FRS Clipper seeks enthusiastic, upbeat individuals who share a passion for tourism & travel and would like to join our team of talented reservation agents. This position guides guests in planning, booking, managing reservations for FRS Clipper transportation, and assisting operational needs in arrivals and departures at the Victoria Inner Harbor terminal. Successful candidates will report to Terminal Managers and Department Lead hands.
Currently seeking seasonal full-time, seasonal part-time, and on-call individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service assisting passengers in person and over the phone with reservations, ticketing, and check-in prior to travel
- Make reservations for passengers as per their request, including tours, car rentals, hotel packages, special excursions, etc.
- Provide accurate local knowledge and insider information to guests asking for recommendations and trip planning guidance (training will be provided by FRS Clipper)
- Perform cargo duties such as receiving, documenting, taking payment, manifesting, and releasing cargo
- Inform guests about important rules and regulations for international travel and conform identification/travel documents
- Using POS system when making sales and reporting sales at the end of the day to reservations lead hand
- Conduct operational duties such as crowd control, preparing, and delivering documents, and various other tasks assigned by managers and lead hands
- Support day-to-day administrative and operational duties to keep the reservations office running smoothly.
- Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English verbally and written formats; other languages would be considered an asset
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Applicant should be familiar and comfortable using MS Office including Word, excel, outlook, and teams
- Previous work using travel booking software preferred – TravelBox experience would be an asset
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds (22.68 kilograms) luggage
- Problem-solving abilities
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- A criminal record check may be required

Salary: Starting at $22.69 per hour and increase after 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months. This is a unionized position (Unifor Local 114).
