Resident Electrical Engineer (Fly-In-Fly-Out) Fort ST. John, BC

Join our dynamic and innovative Electrical Resident Engineering team, where you'll play an essential role in the monumental Site C Project, a groundbreaking hydroelectric generation endeavor of epic proportions.
As a team member, your responsibilities will encompass an array of exciting tasks, such as overseeing the installation of low and medium voltage station service equipment, managing intricate cable and raceway systems, optimizing the HVAC and lighting systems, implementing state-of-the-art fire alarm and security systems, and ensuring seamless access control. In addition, you'll contribute to the implementation of robust grounding systems and oversee all electrical installations related to the Balance of Plant (BoP). Your pivotal role will involve meticulously verifying that all construction work completed by contractors adheres to standards. Your role within the team:
- Support developing a understanding of each contract’s scope/ specifications/ Issued for Construction Drawings and contractor prepared drawings/submittals, to ensure each contractor’s work activities are completed in conformance with the contract and design/approved work methods.
- Use construction experience to proactively anticipate, identify and assist with the mitigation of contractor interfaces and/or related construction risks.
- Support review and signed off quality control/assurance documentation relating to the contractor witness and hold points as required by contract documents, IFC drawings and ITP’s.
- Be a leader in working safely and efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate with, support, and assist other disciplines such as, mechanical, electrical, civil, quality management, construction management and project management.

The ideal candidate:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical engineering in design or field supervision work for Utility scale projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering in design or field supervision work for Utility scale projects.
- University degree or a diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Have a P.Eng. or eligible as EIT status in EGBC.
- A condition of employment for this job is that you have a minimum of 2 doses of a recognized Covid 19 vaccine.
Work conditions:
- Fly-in fly-out (3 weeks in / 1 off).
- Travel and accommodation provided.
- Premium on base salary.
- We are open to candidates from British Columbia and Alberta.
Compensation Range:
Expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
