Your compensation
Your salary is is $24 per hour on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week.

Your role
Depending on your skills and interests, you may be able to contribute to the following tasks: 
  • Make recommendations at the Responsible Investment level in the selection and monitoring process of portfolio managers 
  • Meet the Bank's external portfolio managers 
  • Contribute to the development of tools for monitoring and analyzing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors for portfolios 
  • Collaborate on ESG reporting (Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), Task force on climate-related financial disclosure (TCFD), Annual Report) 
  • Producing thought leadership in Responsible Investment research 
  • Create ESG content and materials to support conversations with our clients
  • Monitor and analyze ESG trends and emerging topics, such as climate change, net zero, sustainable development goals, biodiversity, emerging markets, impact investing 
  • Search and analyze ESG-related publications from a variety of sources (initiatives, regulations, etc.)

Your schedule 
Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week and for an internship period of 3 to 4 months. Your presence in the office is required on Wednesdays as well as another day during the week (Tuesday or Thursday). The internship will take place in Montreal.

Your team
National Bank Investments (NBI) is an investment fund management firm engaged in the development and distribution of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, investment solutions and services designed to help Canadian investors achieve their financial goals. 
As an intern, you are part of NBI Responsible Investment team and you work with 4 people on a daily basis.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree or current graduate study in a relevant discipline (business administration, economics, finance, sustainable development, law or any other related field) 
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite
