Floral Acres is a growing retail garden center with departments in plants (annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, trees and shrubs, tropical plants), gardening supplies garden/specialty furniture and accessories, landscape supplies, home décor, jewelry, and unique gift-ware.

Responsibilities: The Retail Assistant Manager’s main priority is to Drive Sales and Customer Satisfaction by ensuring retail execution excellence,by supporting the Retail Store Manager in all operations of the business. As the Retail Assistant Manager, you will support the business by leading and managing the receiving and merchandising process in Tropicals, Bench Plants, Tree & Shrubs, and Hard Goods, by ensuring SOP are executed with the highest accuracy. You will partner with the Retail Store Manager to ensure Inventory accuracy and shrink control is in line with company goals. You will partner with the Buyers for Tropicals, Bench Plants, Trees & Shrubs as well as Hardgoods to ensure product is fresh and on trend.

- Experience in a multi-department flexible retail environment, able to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the success of the entire business.

- Ability to work with and/or manage 20+ team members, leading by example to ensure that they can complete tasks in a time efficient manner,

- Basic computer literacy with ability to learn and effectively navigate MS Office, Teams, and update the inventory and database system.
- Ability to aid in creating and implementing staff schedules and break schedules.
- Ability to be physically active for a full workday, able to lift up to 50lbs and to tolerate the extreme temperature fluctuations that happen in a greenhouse environment.
Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of relative experience in a Multi Department store. (Plant Knowledge, Merchandising/Receiving, Inventory Management, Developing Talent and Building Effective Teams, Driving Sales and Customer Service Management an asset).
