Job Summary
Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing, and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.
We seek a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual passionate about energy efficiency to join our team as a Retail Compliance Representative. A representative will work on behalf of Fortis BC in the Retail Rebates Campaign (from January 24– January 31, 2024 ) promoted in stores at select retailers in Kelowna, Penticton, Osoyoos, and Oliver, BC. The Retail Compliance Representative will be responsible for ensuring that designated retail locations are compliant with Summerhill’s event standards and will report accordingly. As noted above, this position is a fixed short-term contract for approximately 5 days during the last week of January 2024
Job Responsibilities
- Travel to designated locations to ensure retailers are compliant with program specifications
- Check signage and displays
- Notify retailers of necessary changes to ensure program and client needs are met
- Submit retailer compliance reports to the Project Manager as needed and in a timely manner
- Receive event materials and return to Summerhill at the end of the program
- Complete paid training online - webinar
Job Qualifications/ Requirements
- Access to a reliable car with a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance
- Familiarity with Google Maps and route mapping software
- Strong verbal and written skills in English
- Flexible schedule to accommodate in-store visits
- Self-motivated with a high level of reliability
- Detail Oriented
- Able to work independently, multi-task and self-manage
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional manner and appearance
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Email, Google Maps, and Internet applications
- Possess a smartphone with a data plan (reps will be compensated for data usage for reporting)
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional manner and appearance
- Education and/or experience in energy efficiency or related field – considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Occasional heavy lifting required, up to 45 lbs.
