We are currently seeking a permanent team member to fill the role of retail manager, starting immediately.
We are a Vernon-based, family-owned tourism attraction committed to inspiring our visitors with the amazing world of the honeybee. About You:
- Superior customer service skills
- An interest in natural health / the environment
- Self-starter, enjoy working within / leading a small team
- A proven track record in decision making
- Strong leadership qualities and team building skills
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
- Ability to multi-task, delegate responsibilities, prioritize, and organize.
- Knowledge of and experience working with computer based checkout systems.
- Background or interest in digital marketing, design & sales (training available).
- Willing to work at least one regular weekend shift & stat holidays when required.

We operate year-round as a tourist attraction, catering to people from all over the world. You will work to build and sustain a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect and exceptional morale. You will ensure the delivery of superior customer service day-in and day-out and oversee our retail operations.
About the Job:
-Full time, permanent
-Scheduling for the retail sales team
-Developing and implementing sales & visitor experience strategies
-General retail, telephone, web & mail order sales
-In-store merchandising and display building
-Sourcing new, exciting products with a focus on local & sustainable
-Educating customers about bees, bee products and the plight of the honey bee
-Presenting to groups of various sizes and ages during the summer
-Maintaining a professional, clean & welcoming retail environment
Salary & Benefits
$26-$28/hour
+ 3 weeks annual paid vacation, to be taken between Nov – April.
