We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer with expertise in Pathloss software to join our dynamic team. As an RF Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, optimization, and maintenance of our wireless communication systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of RF design into our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Pathloss software to design and optimize RF propagation models for wireless communication systems including point to point microwave, LMR coverage, point to multipoint, private LTE etc.
- Conduct RF site surveys and analyze propagation characteristics to identify optimal site locations.
- Perform RF link budget analysis and provide recommendations for improving system performance.
- Collaborate with network planning and deployment teams to ensure RF designs meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot RF issues and implement corrective actions to maintain network reliability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in RF engineering and propagation modeling.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an RF Engineer, with a focus on wireless communication systems.
- Proficiency in using Pathloss software for RF propagation modeling and link budget analysis.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and propagation phenomena.
- Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex RF issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in RF engineering or related field.
- Experience with other RF design software tools such as Atoll, iBwave, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with 5G technology and its implications on RF design and optimization.
