About Us
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for legendary powder, big mountain terrain, and small-town charm. We are seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing unforgettable mountain experiences.
Position Overview:
As a Communications Coordinator at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, you will play a crucial role in maintaining clear and effective communication channels within the organization and with our external partners. Your responsibilities will include internal communications management, content creation, copywriting for various platforms, editing, and assistingwith media relations. We are looking for a professional with relevant experience, exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and facilitateinternal communication channels, ensuring timelyand effective communication throughout the organization.
Collaborate with departments to gather, create, and distribute internal announcements, newsletters,and updates.
Oversee and maintainthe internal staff hub, ensuring it is up to datewith the latest information, resources, and documents.
Assistin creating compelling and engaging content for various platforms, including advertisements, websites, and newsletters.
Ensure that all written content aligns with the resort's brand voice and messaging.
Review and edit written materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in all communications.
Collaborate with the Communications Managerto support press releases, media outreach, and media kits.
Provide Social Media support as required, under the direction of the Social Media Coordinator and Communications Manager.
Assistin organizing and coordinating media events and FAM tours.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in communications or a related field.
A passion for outdoor and mountain-related activities.
Skills Required:
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Organizational and project management abilities.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Familiar with Office 365, Canva, Adobe Creative,and social media platforms.
Creative writing with attention to detail.
Strong editing skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Strong skier or snowboarder.
Photography and/or videography skills are considered an asset.
Ability to conduct presentations and meetings.
Clean B.C.driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
Manual dexterity requiredto use desktop computer and peripherals.
Flexible scheduleassome weekends, evenings, and early mornings may be required.
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package will be providedbased upon qualifications, experience, and skill set.The salary range for this position is between $48,000 - $54,000 per year. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
