The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Road Crew Supervisor to add to our team in Newton, ON. This position is responsible for overseeing one of our installation teams. The incumbent will lead preparation of site for installation which may include demolition of existing structures, ensuring proper preparation for startup and related adjustments. They will provide expertise and knowledge to the team, lead health and safety and will foster a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Repair and service a wide variety of portable agriculture machinery such as augers, conveyors, post pounders, grain vacuums, and seed treaters
- Safe operation, maintenance and inventory management of a service vehicle
- Perform field repairs on permanent commercial and non-commercial grain handling job sites
- Work order creation and repair documentation
- Demonstrate parts knowledge, interpretation of parts catalogue’s and parts ordering for repairs

What We Are Looking For
- High school education or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred
- Grain handling installation experience is mandatory
- Millwright certificate would be an asset.
- Blueprint reading
- Must be able to conduct and supervise crews for day to day install & maintenance duties.
- Good Organizational, Time Management & Communication skills are an asset.
- Safety supervisory experience (Working at Heights, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Forklift, Elevated Work Platform)
- CWB Certification is a plus.
- Ability to climb and regularly work at heights.
- Comfortable with indoor and outdoor working environments year-round.
- Ability to change focus and direction with minimal notice.
- Willing to work flexible and longer hours.
