Job Profile
The Room Attendant provides a superior level of guest room cleaning service. This position maintains and exceeds Delta Hotels standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting rearranging the room, disinfecting all guest room surfaces after guests check out.
- Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service.
- Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to working housekeeper.
- Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift.
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass.
- Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing and sorting linen.
- Report, turn in and log all lost and found items.
- Clean upholstered furniture.
- Stocks carts daily.
- Perform detailed deep cleans when required.
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members.
- 3 years of housekeeping experience in an upscale hotel.
- A team player.
- Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
- Possess good attention to detail and have strong organizational skills.
- Able to complete repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, and stretching.
- Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Working conditions
- Fast-paced environment.
- Variety of hours- morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, weekdays, holidays.
- Standing for long periods of time.
Physical requirements
- Ability to pull, push, reach, bend, stoop, kneel and frequently lift to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit or work for long periods of time.
