Role Responsibilities

As the Senior RPA Developer, you will support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes as part of the Robotic Process Automation Centre of Excellence (RPA COE). You will support the team by providing RPA Bot development using UIPath intelligent automation software.

The Senior RPA Developer reports to RPA Director. As each RPA project is different, solutions will be developed while adhering to GoA established standards and best practices for RPA development and security practices, as well as individual project plans established by the Program Manager and team will be followed.

As the Senior RPA Developer, you will be responsible for:
  • The development and participation in RPA initiatives as a team member of the RPA COE.
  • Analyzing and designing automation process workflows.
  • Developing, testing, and implementing workflows into production RPA solutions ensuring deliverables adhere to GoA coding, security standards, and best practices.
  • Translating end-to-end automation process solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Working with UiPath Bots, Document Understanding, Action Centre, Insights, and Apps.
  • Technical infrastructure and integration into existing architectures (On Premise and Cloud).
  • Working with the RPA Project Team to analyze problem areas, identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assisting business analysts and various businesses and IT teams in putting together business cases and workflow improvement efforts to support further adoption of RPA solutions.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of RPA processes and ensure environment stability, investigate issues, raise change requests, etc.
  • Technical training and mentoring for junior/intermediate RPA developers on coding best practices and serve as a technical escalation point during development.

As the successful incumbent, you will have:
  • The ability to read and understand conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong risk management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, time management and problem solving abilities.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Four years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Experience developing Robotic Process Automation solutions using UiPath products.
  • Successful completion of an Enhanced Security Background Check is required.

Equivalencies: Equivalencies will be considered:
  • A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and six years related experience; or
  • A related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years related experience.

Assets:
  • Experience and certification with one or more RPA technologies (e.g. UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate).
  • Experience in developing automation /RPA solutions.
  • Experience rolling out large-scale enterprise RPA projects.
  • Experienced in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience monitoring Bots in production.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft .net (VB/C#).
  • Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate).
