A family owned business based in the Niagara Area which provides inputs (seed, fertilizer, crop protection products) and custom application services to growers in the Haldimand, Hamilton-Wentworth and Niagara areas. We are looking for a hardworking, resourceful and results-driven individual for a full time, permanent Sales Agronomist position.
Job Details:
- Provide agronomic support and advice to growers and prospects
- Responsible for contributing to customer profitability as well as overall business profitability by providing accurate and label directed agronomic information
- Work towards achieving company quarterly and yearly growth targets
- Speak to company practices as it relates to current/future products, pricing and other company initiatives with dealers, growers and members of the community
- Completing detailed crop plans with customers
- Interpreting soil and tissue analysis results with customers
- Scouting fields to assist customers with weed, insect and disease control options
- Operate in a defined territory in order to develop and maintain customer relationships and become a reputable resource for crop production information and technology. Effectively prospect and generate new leads within your territory
- Effectively collaborate with a team of other Sales Agronomists to maximize services, information and sales to growers who want extensive technical/agronomic expertise
- Maintain a thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of brand products and services
- Speak to company practices as it relates to current/future products, pricing and other company initiatives with dealers, growers and members of the community
- Effectively communicate your learned knowledge to growers and prospects through

Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in agriculture and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of agronomy and crop input sales experience
- Experience with corn, beans, wheat and forages
- Must be a team player
- Willingness to travel and work in a rural environment
- A valid driver’s license
- The Certified Crop Advisor designation is an asset
