Sales & Applications Engineer

Technel Engineering Inc., incorporated in 1986, is a Canadian based manufacturers’ Rep of instrumentation, calibration, DAQ, plus custom calibration systems design. Our customer base includes many Fortune 500 companies, laboratories, Government, Utilities, medical and instrumentation manufacturers. Support has been and continues to be a basic tenet of Technel’s success.

We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer based out of our Vaughan, Ontario office.

Responsibilities

· Provide technical support to customers by troubleshooting issues as they arise and performing repairs on customer equipment as needed.

· Provide quotes and identify and recommend products or services.

Qualifications

· Have Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field from an accredited Canadian university and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

· Must have full proficiency in English, French an asset.

· Have experience liaising with and providing technical support to customers.

· Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings, BOMs, schematics, electrical layouts, manuals, and data sheets.

· Be a self-starter, with mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to cohesively work with a team.

· Be familiar with Microsoft Office software tools (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).

· Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

· Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
