Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this position will be responsible for strategic sales growth through management of key accounts and sales activities of our Compact Equipment product line up within the Parry Sound District. The successful candidate must be willing to travel within the Parry Sound District.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Developing strategic plans to meet annual sales targets.
- Managing key accounts, building relationships, and staying current with customer and industry requirements.
- Road travel, cold calling and building a sales plan.
- Building new and maintaining existing relationships with vendors.
- Staying current on product knowledge and equipment.
- Ordering and pricing of new inventory.
- Developing marketing and promotion strategies for our territory.
- Preparing customer status reports, including but not limited to sales call activity, closing, follow up, and prospect reports as required.
- Working weekends as needed to support marketing initiatives, training, and seasonal hours.
Required Skills
- Strong customer service skills.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
- Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport and be able to travel domestically and internationally when required for training and Bobcat sales meeting purposes.
- Must have a clean driving record and/or be able to get a restricted A license.
Required Experience
- Previous sales / sales management is considered an asset.
- Industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of compact equipment is considered an asset.
