Job description

A&G Supply Ltd. has been providing customers throughout southern British Columbia with quality sanitation products and ongoing recommendations to enhance building safety, employee productivity, and facility image. Our goal is to improve the clients’ overall image so that the building occupants and customers have the best possible experience.

We are looking to add a Sales Support Assistant to our team.

The primary parts of the position will be providing support to the Sales Team in the field and dealing with customers and prospects who contact the company's sales department.

Generally, this role does not have direct responsibilities for selling, but their work contributes to good customer relationships and enables the exterior Sales Team to spend more time selling.

The ideal candidate will be a hard working, customer service-driven individual capable of dealing with co-workers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.

This position will require a person with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The successful applicant will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain a high level of organizational coordination.

We are looking to fill this position immediately and will be offering a starting wage of $ 22 per hour.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

Primary Duties:

  • Work with potential customers, setting up new accounts in our CRM and online catalog
  • Manage customer inquiries and account updates
  • Manage email folders during vacations for Sales Team, if required
  • Sales and Administrative Support
  • Maintain the online store (J&M Catalog) including updating existing items and adding new items to the store
  • Update Video Manager, on a monthly basis, to J&M Catalog
  • Generate new print catalogs
  • Maintain website, and provide updates to Marketing Company on a regular basis
  • Manage A&G Supply Ltd. Google Drive
  • Minute important meetings and provide action steps for follow up
  • Engage with vendors with respect to getting contracts developed
  • Development of proposal templates and preparation of individual proposals
  • Assist with developing new business and lead generation by screening website enquiries
  • Contacting customers for the purpose of preventing account attrition (determine if volume decreases are due to a customer’s needs not being met)
  • “Touch base” calls with smaller customers

Secondary Duties:

  • Manage quotes and pricing for new and existing customers
  • Performing margin analysis, price change analysis, and price changes
  • Customer contract management, review, analysis, and optimization
  • Generate various sales reports, both current and historical
  • Assist customers with statement issues
  • Follow up emails after face-to-face sales calls. Forward documentation as needed including literature, pricing information, technical data sheet, MSDS etc.
  • General Sales Support duties as needed, including MSDS sheets and books, Easy Steps cards, wall charts
  • Ensure dispenser loan agreements are completed
  • Ensure proper checking of credit applications
  • Gift baskets, promotions, letters, inter-office memos etc.
  • Back up for Front Desk, sales, and orders
  • Sales Development

Special projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Sales support specialist or Sales support associate
  • Hands on experience with CRM systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
  • Proficiency with Google suite, particularly Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Excellent communication, analytical, multitasking, teamwork, and motivational skills
  • BS degree in Marketing or associate’s degree in relevant field a plus
  • Excellent administrative, clerical, record-keeping, and computing skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail so that they enter customers' requests accurately and issue clear instructions to other departments
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal with customers and collaborate with other departments in the company, such as marketing, production, accounts, and distribution
  • Excellent customer service skills to enable them to deal politely and effectively with customers’ inquiries or complaints

Salary: From $22.00 per hour
