MISSION
- Through guidance provided by Management, and in a safe, legal, and ethical manner, the Sampler / Laboratory Technician performs his / her duties to support testing for the Company and its clients and to maintain associated records, thus supporting the goal of providing a service to the clients that is accurate, timely and cost effective.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all required duties under the direction of management.
- Performs routine sampling duties such as sampling grain or products onsite following CFIA protocol for sampling, CGC standards for sampling, Cotecna WIs, any other client specific specs.
- Log-in, organizing, storing, distribution, and disposing of incoming samples and after final inspections
- Sample preparation (ex/ cleaning the samples, preparing samples for lab testing, grinding, and glassware cleaning).
- Operating laboratory equipment such as moisture meters, protein and dockage testers, scales, and mycotoxin readers. Monitor and maintain all equipment according to desired standards before performing the analysis.
- Picking up and delivering samples from various locations to the office or vice versa.
- Maintaining/monitoring of basic laboratory supplies (gloves, analysis kits, dust masks, sample bags, filter papers, etc.)
- Cleaning of work areas (dusting, sweeping, etc.)
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent in Years Experience
- Strong written and communication skills and organizational skills are required
- Ability to perform various administrative duties
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to promote a compassionate, caring, customer service-oriented culture by operating in a professional and collaborative fashion
- Shows good organizational and time management skills with a high tolerance for job pressures and an ability to work and communicate with persons of diverse personalities and backgrounds
- Be organized with time management skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 48 per week
