Position: Full time – Sanitation Technician

Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Sanitation Technician to add to our growing cannabis production facility located in St. Thomas, ON. Reporting to the site QA VP you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring compliance standards of sanitation practices are met throughout the facility. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a natural drive for teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the quality of our product by strictly following our Standard Operation Procedures for processes such as sanitation and cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize the facility, including but not limited to: Floors, Ceilings, Surfaces, Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment, Shoes, Uniforms.
• Complete relevant forms, logs and other documentation required to meet SOPs and policies.
• Ensures the loading dock area and product destruction areas are kept clean.
• Empty wastebaskets.
• Maintains the supplies of washroom and lunchroom and ensure they are kept clean daily.
• Supporting the team with other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous work experience in sanitation is considered an asset.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Experience in the cannabis industry is considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, reach with weights up to 50lbs.
• Strong communication skills – written & verbal.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to an evolving environment.
• All successful candidates are required to pass criminal record check.
• Note: The chosen applicant will be required to successfully complete reference checks and a criminal background check.
