What you’ll do
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - DevOps Engineer
Location: Vancouver, BC
Expected Start Date: May 2024
Contract Duration: 8 months
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
-Operate enterprise scale multi-cloud applications with a DevOps culture at its heart
-Troubleshoot and analyze production issues that affect real customers
-Automate repetitive tasks and improve existing processes
-Monitor and observe for anomalies and prevent outages
 
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
-A student in computer science or a similar discipline
-Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems
-Basic familiarity with at least one cloud infrastructure platform, e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP
-Able critical thinking skills to understand the root cause of an issue
-Passionate about automation and making the computers do the work for you
-Basic knowledge of scripting e.g. Python, shell, bash
-Able to work within a global team, embracing different perspectives and cultures
-Fluent in the English language, with strong verbal and written communication skills
-Efficiently and calmly operate under pressure in emergency situations
-Strong customer focus, service minded and experience in handling customer escalations

We are a global DevOps team focused on supporting the Integration Suite of products within SAP (CI, APIM, CI-DS etc.). You will be joining a team in Vancouver dedicated to providing live site support and continuous improvement projects to ensure highly available and resilient products to our global customers.

SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 24-40 CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
