Saulteaux Heritage School is accepting applications for the Janitorial position. Saulteaux Heritage School is located on Saulteaux First Nation, approximately 40 km north of North Battleford, SK.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, classrooms and public areas
o Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and washing floors
o Emptying garbage, collecting recycling
o Cleaning washrooms
o Wiping walls, chairs, tables, handrails, etc.
o Meeting room set ups and tear downs
Observe and report any maintenance repairs needed
Return Lost and Found items to the housekeeping office
Abide by all school safety procedures to always ensure safety of students, staff and guests
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and lifting
Work with cleaning chemicals; proper use training required
Standing for extended periods of time
Available to work weekends

REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge and experience in working with cleaning supplies and chemicals, WHIMIS
Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in the English language
Ability to work harmoniously with others
Ability to act independently within established guidelines
Good physical health to meet the requirements of the job
