Job Description: Seasonal Beverage Cart/Concessions Host
Job Purpose: To provide a warm, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and always maintained in line with our guest expectations.
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and efficient service to members in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of on-course outlets and Beverage Carts.
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of all menu items offered on-course.
- Assist co-workers as necessary to provide the best possible service to members.
- Prepare all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for members.
- Maintain efficient stock, rotating product based upon first in first out practices (FIFO)
- Ensure all opening, closing, and shift changeover duties are completed daily.
- Generate accurate bills using Point-of-Sale system.
- Comply with The Harvest’s Safety standards and B. C’s Liquor Commission requirements.
- Effectively address members’ concerns and complaints immediately and communicate appropriately to applicable food & beverage team members as part of the member feedback process.
- Other assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- Serving it Right certification is required.
- Confident to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
- Enjoys working outdoors.
- Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Must have energetic, enthusiast, and positive attitude.
- Service-oriented individual
- Knowledge of golf courses and golf etiquette is considered an asset.
- 1 year food & beverage experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent reaching above and below shoulder height
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 11 pounds / 5 kg
- Occasional lifting up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
- Occasional exposure to hot, damp, environments
Prerequisites: Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Harvest Golf Club is a multiple award-winning championship golf course located in Kelowna, British Columbia, the heart of BC wine country. The Harvest Golf Club is home to impeccably manicured grounds, vineyard, orchard, championship golf course, and food and beverage facilities and services.
The Harvest Food and Beverage Department consists of a: Casual Dining Restaurant and Lounge, Banquet and Private party Catering, Beverage Cart, and Course Kiosk. This position commences March 17th to October 31st with the possibility of year-round employment.
