The Town of Huntsville’s Public Works Department is currently looking to hire a Seasonal Equipment Operator.
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of heavy equipment operation and possess a valid DZ License. Loader, backhoe and grader experience would be an asset. Experience driving a snow plow would be a distinct advantage. This position will require the successful candidate to work both independently and as an integral part of a team. Furthermore, participation in all aspects of operations including physical labour (digging, lifting, excavating etc.) will be expected.
The Town of Huntsville Roads Department is a member of the Local Union 636 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. All Public Works employees are on call on a rotating basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week between November 1st and April 30th for road winter maintenance activities.
The current hourly rate for this position is $27.91.
