Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Overtime potential

Salary: $20.60/hr

The Opportunity:

This is an annually reoccurring seasonal position running from April to September, schedule will run 7 days a week starting in June. Perfect for those who want seasonal employment and/or college/university students!

Seasonal Production Labourer:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Labourer is responsible for operating and monitoring their assigned production line while ensuring that the packaged ice is removed from the line and palletized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates and monitors assigned lines, materials, and finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation.
• Coordinates the movement of product from the production lines to the skids.
• Examines product for quality and ensures all Food Safety Handling Procedures are followed.
• Adopts a culture of cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
• Performs all other assigned duties with the direction of the production supervisor and lead hand.
• Records daily logs of packages bags and wasted packaging material.
• Inspects date codes for accuracy and legibility.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Skills Requirements and Competencies:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting.
• Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Forklift/pallet jack experience is considered an asset.
• Experience working in a production environment is considered an asset.
