Warehouse/Mixing Labourer (Seasonal)

Performance Seed is currently looking for individuals to fill the position of hourly seasonal warehouse labourer for the period from March through July, with the possibility of attaining further work if available.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
• Assist with the loading of product onto customer, trailers, and other transport vehicles
• Assist with the mixing, bagging, and palletizing process of our seed products
• Assisting with the cleanliness of the yard and shop

Position Details

• We expect the average shift to be 8-12 hours, Monday through Saturday, as required, with overtime paid in accordance with Alberta employment standards.
• Pay range $20-25/hour

Job Requirements & Preferences

• Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills
• Physical ability to lift 55lbs of product, routinely.
• Ability to work well in a team setting or on their own, with no supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive, environment
• Complete basic math computations
• Be on time via reliable transportation
• Be a problem solver
• Ability to take directions from a supervisor
• Ability to keep their workstation/workplace tidy and assist in cleaning up where necessary
• Follow workplace processes/instructions
• Ability to operate pallet jack to load/unload trucks
• Gather product together for orders and mixes
• Ability to work late/overtime, as needed
• Have a class 5 drivers licence with clean drivers abstract

* Preference given to those with forklift certificate*
