What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Build and maintain internal tools to streamline data delivery to our SIEM
- Update, configure, and deploy our SIEM and other systems we manage
- Onboard new log sources to our SIEM and data lakes
- Write high-quality, well-tested code to deliver reliable and scalable services
- Show bias for action and data-driven decisions to prototype new solutions as fast as possible
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- You write code to build new tools or support existing ones
- Fluency in a modern programming language (Golang, Python, Ruby, Rust, etc.)
- You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
- You're very comfortable communicating in English
- You're passionate about computer security, networking, and infrastructure
- Important: You do not need experience working with SIEM and SOAR to be considered for this position. This is a junior role and there will be on-the-job training.
Nice to haves:
- Degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS/GCP
- You have previous experience working with SIEM systems
- You have experience executing technical tasks and projects end-to-end
- You have experience with version control, branching, and collaboration on GitHub
- You’ve worked on security teams in finance, tech, or government
- Knowledge of fundamental DevOps practices, including unit testing and repository management
- You’re an excellent writer.
