Security Supervisor

BPS K9 is looking for a highly motivated and reliable Mobile Security Supervisor to join our team!

Shift: 12 hour overnights

Rotation: Monday through Wednesday

Successful candidates will:

• Have a valid Alberta Security Guard License
• Have a valid Class 5 Driver License (or Equivalent)
• Provide full Clean 3-year Driver Abstract history
• Provide full Clean 3-year Insurance Claim Report
• Reliable vehicle to commute to the office
• Be available for any of the following overnight shifts: Monday through Wednesday and applicable Holidays
• Have previous Security experience (1- 3 years)
• Have previous Supervisor experience (1-3 years)
• Demonstrates ability to follow operational security measures, protect confidential information, and exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Leadership and mentorship skills
• Be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Must have strong customer service skills, mature attitude and professionalism
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Meeting the physical demands of the job (extensive periods of walking, standing, stairs, and driving)

• Fluency/proficiency in English language, both spoken and written
• Work in all types of weather (sun, rain, snow, etc.) both indoors and outdoors

Duties of a Mobile Security Supervisor include:

• Driving a company vehicle safely and obey all traffic laws
• Managing overnight staff
• Conducting site visits and assisting employees
• Training staff
• Conducting foot patrols, securing access points, and removing trespassers
• Reacting appropriately in stressful situations by remaining calm and non-violent
• Being professional while representing the company and our clients at all times
• Completing detailed and accurate shift reports each shift
• Reporting shift and employee notes to management

Candidates will be skilled in the following:

• MS Office Word and Excel (Basic to Intermediate)
• Critical thinking and problem solving for appropriately resolving issues and concerns
• Safe and defensive driving at night and during snow/rain/fog etc.
• Interpersonal and communication skills

Wage: $21 - 23/hour, Training Shifts are Paid!
