Here's a quick overview of what you will be doing …

We are assembling a team devoted to live music and exceptional hospitality. As the Security Lead, your role will be critical in safeguarding our venue and events while fostering an uplifting atmosphere. You'll oversee security during events, coordinate changeovers on the floor, as well as load-ins and outs. Your responsibilities also include creating a secure environment for artists, staff and attendees by implementing effective protocols, coordinating with stakeholders to mitigate risks, and addressing potential security concerns.

• Providing exceptional hospitality to all those who you interact with
• Assisting with the development and implementation of security protocols, standards and training
• Coordinating with local authorities, emergency services, and management to manage critical incidents effectively
• Being the primary point of contact for security-related incidents, promptly responding to and resolving any issues that arise
• Coordinating with production teams, transportation services and venue staff to manage the logistics of artist arrivals and departures
• Completing end of shift reporting on all security related matters and providing appropriate feedback to team and Management

Skills we would love you to have …

• Outstanding hospitality and customer service based around strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Firm understanding of team-based work environments specifically in the crowd control and security industry
• Exposure to hiring and team construction
• Practical knowledge of effective and efficient security procedures with a proven ability to mitigate conflict and defuse situations
• Strong leadership skills that translate to training and high stress responses
• Proven ability to foster a culture of professionalism, vigilance and exceptional customer service
• Working knowledge of licensing requirements and potential issues
• Process and policy development exposure with a willingness to build a system from the ground up
• Scheduling and staff cost management skills

What we need you to have …

• 2 years minimum experience in Venue based Security Operations
• Basic Security Training (BST)
• Advanced Security Training (AST) (preffered)
• Emergency First-Aid (FA1)
• Standard First-Aid (FA2) (preffered)
• Serving it right certification
• Right to work in Canada
• Ability to work on your feet for a full shift
• Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds regularly
