Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter to help us craft our brand’s strategies into remarkable, irresistible creative concepts and head-turning copy. In this role, you’ll need to be a master of absorbing product knowledge and guest research—then translating it into compelling ideas and phrases that resonate with people around the world. What You’ll Do

  • Write clear, persuasive, original copy within our defined brand tone of voice, while helping us stretch that tone of voice in new directions
  • Work in a close-knit creative partnership with the creative project team to generate and bring to life excellent concepts and ideas
  • Formulate compelling presentation decks that sell through ideas for internal and external review
  • Present effectively, both for internal creative and cross-functional project reviews
  • Execute on campaigns from concept stage to completion, across all channels
  • Understand the structure of a brand’s identity—how the visual and verbal executions come together to create a holistic brand experience
  • Stay current on industry trends, including ground-breaking ideas, emerging technologies, and business solutions
  • Provide effective direction through all phases of production—internally and with external partners
  • Mentor and ideate with junior creative team members

Skills

  • Exceptional language skills and ability to tell stories in clear, succinct copy that strikes the balance between tone and clarity
  • Conceptual thinker, self-starter and creative executer
  • Compelling presentation skills to build and share inspiring stories with credibility, clarity, and confidence
  • Experience writing and managing small- to large-scale projects with a variety of stakeholders; oversee project budget and timeline
  • Clearly identify opportunities and communicate copy rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders; be open to their feedback
  • Provide support and feedback to teammates
  • Excellent organizational and time management skill
  • Ability to navigate current creative software
  • Strong collaborator and relationship-builder
  • Tolerance for ambiguity

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree within a writing-based discipline—journalism, advertising, creative writing, etc. or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience
  • 2 + years of experience working on national or global brands
  • 2 + years of experience in concepting for web, mobile, social and emerging platforms
  • Must have a folio of work demonstrating ideas and copy across various media
  • Ability to write to a brand’s tone of voice, and subtly flex that tone for message and medium
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands
  • Demonstrated and extraordinary communication skills, with a meticulous eye for detail

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$81,500–107,000 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.

Workplace Arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy:  

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
