As a Senior Digital Strategist, you will lead digital strategy on a number of our key client accounts within the telecommunications and utilities sector performing planning functions on our more complicated and challenging projects. You will gain an intimate understanding of these key clients, their competitors, and key industry trends, and effectively communicate your findings to clients as well as internal team leads.


Your addition to the team will extend our capabilities and push the standards for creating websites and digital products that are compelling, appealing, and easy to use. In addition to helping drive the growth of the strategy practice at Evans Hunt, you will contribute to growing awareness of the company as a thought leader and innovator.

You are a natural leader
with an ability to foster relationships with all levels of the team, to relate well with others, and to listen effectively.

You have deep knowledge of strategic practices including problem definition, landscape reviews, research, insights and trends, customer experience methodologies, and strategy development.

You bring 10+ years of strategic experience working within the telecommunications and utilities sector as well as other large scale/global ecommerce brands and accounts. You have created strategies that have contributed to increased revenue, profitability, ROI and key customer experience KPIs and scores.

You are a self-directed leader who proactively takes ownership. You bring fresh ideas, tools, and methods to the table. You’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. You exemplify big thinking and are ready to put some of your great ideas to practice.

You don’t mind getting your hands dirty. You’ll be hands-on across a portfolio of clients.

You enjoy a fast-paced environment. You love deploying new strategies in an agile environment. Ideally you have experience and passion for high growth services firms and a fully distributed workforce – in the marketing or tech industry.

A day in the life


Working at an agency, you'll have the opportunity to work with various clients across a diverse range of industries simultaneously. One day you might be studying the needs of job-seekers for a review site with over 50 million unique monthly visitors. Another day you might explore how Canadian customers can best build their wireless and home telecommunications plans. No day is the same.


That said, there are activities that will likely take up most of your time. These include:


Account Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirements gathering and customer journey workshops, client interviews, and ideation sessions
  • Collaborate with Evans Hunt Client Partners on the preparation of marketing recommendations and customer experience strategies for clients
  • Working closely with the Customer Experience (UX Design, Research and Data & Analytics) and Creative teams, recommend and plan pertinent research and analysis activities
  • Identify and communicate strategic needs to Client Partners, and assist with account planning (as required by CP)
  • Develop integrated marketing and customer experience strategies and tactical plans to meet and exceed clients’ marketing and business goals/objectives, while keeping the ideal customer experience at the forefront
  • Present recommendations masterfully, balancing the “ooh” (dazzle) and the “aah” (insight) to support the selling of strategy and ideas
  • Help define project scope as it relates to strategic deliverables, writing estimates and proposals
  • Generate and drive insight for internal and client audiences around media, brands, and customer experience
  • Provide market research analyses and insights around industry trends
  • Complete sector, industry, and competitive analyses and benchmarking
  • Define measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and program optimization

Departmental Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the vision, structure, and management of Evans Hunt’s strategic practice
  • Ensure overall quality of strategy work on key client accounts
  • Provide guidance and insight about strategy practices to colleagues in other departments
  • Influence cross-functional teams in the creation and execution of effective research, analyses, and strategy
  • Support new business presentations
