Overview:
Pembina’s Gas Services Business Unit is currently seeking an Instrumentation / Electrical Tradesman to join their team. Reporting to the E&I Shift Lead, this position is geared towards those who are hardworking, self-motivated, and eager to be part of a growing maintenance team.
The position will involve maintaining Instrumentation and Electrical equipment at the Resthaven Midstream Gas Plant located 1 ½ hours Northeast of Grande Cache.  
The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow cut processing and both sweet and sour deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts.
 
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules.” To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina/safety;
-On-going maintenance and repair of all electrical and instrumentation equipment such as MCC switch gear (480VAC), VFD’s, Generators, Motors, Valve Operators, UPS Systems, field transmitters, and metering devices;
-Complete corrective and preventative maintenance on Instrumentation and Electrical equipment in accordance with Pembina’s preventable maintenance management program; 
-Assist the Operations team in optimizing plant performance and troubleshooting issues;
-Provide technical support on new projects and through our Management of Change (MOC) process;
-Assist with the installation, commissioning, start up, and maintenance of new equipment;
-Work on a shift basis, which consists of 7 days on/7 days off rotation, on-call responsibilities, and is a camp based setting; and
-Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
 
Qualifications:
-Provincial Instrumentation or Electrician Journeyman Certificate;
-5+ progressive years of related work experience;
-A good understanding of both gas and liquid measurement;
-Ability to troubleshoot both Instrumentation and Electrical related problems effectively;
-Good knowledge of valves, transmitters, controllers, and pumps;
-Working knowledge of MS Office applications;
-Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
-Working knowledge of SAP platforms is considered an asset; and
-Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
 
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.  You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract. 
 
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
