A day in the life:

As a Senior Engineer I, you will work as the domain leader for the product(s) your team delivers. You will be counted on as a leader in your technology space, as you contribute to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). Senior Engineer Is take production readiness and performance personally and help drive continuous improvement. You will be part of a day-to-day production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. You will be considered the technical owner of the production system(s) you work on and focus on how your product(s) are delivered and how to optimize them for efficiency, security, and reliability.

  • Main contributor to product roadmaps and reliability strategy
  • Partner with project management to deliver status and performance updates
  • Lead development of BI reports tailored for end-users, ensuring the delivery of insightful and user-friendly reports
  • Contribute to the evolution of our analytics infrastructure by identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization
  • Work closely with data architects to implement data design best practices, ensuring that our data reporting systems align with industry standards and promote scalable and efficient data architecture.
  • Conduct research to support product development decisions, aiding in the selection of tools that optimize our reporting capabilities
  • Provide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotations
  • Actively monitor key metrics, reports on trends, and make improvement recommendations
  • Provide mentorship for the Engineering team and create opportunities for their continued development
  • Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team to foster a collaborative learning environment

Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible
  • Five or more years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Power BI experience
  • 5+ years of SQL Data modeling experience
  • Experience working across enterprise standards & practices
  • Experience with cloud-based data technologies for development and deployment (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Strong knowledge of data structure principles and best practices
  • Proficient in utilizing data modeling tools for efficient structuring and organization of data (e.g., dbt/Fivetran)
  • Highly proficient in querying large and complex datasets using Python, R, and SQL
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python and R, with a focus on automation
  • Proficient in Git and version control systems, ensuring collaborative and streamlined development processes
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and optimizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes
  • Extensive experience in developing solutions for industries dealing with substantial data volumes, such as retail, eCommerce, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, corporate shared services, or any other sector facing complex data challenges
  • Polished presentation and communication skills to leadership and peers

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $123,500 -162,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
