Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide stakeholders with better visibility into performance drivers, support decision making, and help advance process efficiency while driving core FP&A rhythms (reporting, planning, analysis, etc.) to guide the business in achieving company goals. This role will support the technology pillar of the FP&A team.
In this role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.
Make a difference on our finance FP&A team as a Senior Financial Analyst!
What you'll do:

• Prepare monthly internal financial reports to compare actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and investigate any drivers of significant variances
• Bring business meaning to financial data and identifying variances and trends to provide insightful fact-based commentary/observations (i.e. monthly and quarterly business reviews)
• Support the financial planning process (annual long-range plan with quarterly updates, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts)
• Contribute to overall finance team objectives by supporting ad-hoc analyses and projects as required

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of relevant finance/accounting work experience
• Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, accounting, and/or related field
• Proven experience working with advanced Excel/VBA and Microsoft tools (i.e. Power BI, etc.)
• An ability to produce concise and complex financial reports and presentations
