About the role

We are looking for a Reporting BA to join our growing team!

What you’ll do here:

  • Be the expert in Reporting.

  • Work closely with IT stakeholders to implement new reports, enhancements, or updates to exiting reports.

  • Understand delivery strategies and roadmaps of all delivery teams and assess impact on reports.

  • Translate user requirements into detailed reporting requirements.

  • Work as a bridge between the development team and the business stakeholders and continually look to add value to the organization through product increments and enhancements.

  • Ensure the supervision of month-end activities according to a specific working day timetable and provide guidance and support in the eventuality of incidents (applies to certain reporting areas only).

More specifically you will:

  • Maintain methodology: maintain templates and internal processes and ensure socialization with other stakeholders.

  • Maintain an inventory of reports that constitutes the book of record for all Finance stakeholders and that includes report sources and owners.

  • Gather requirements and translate them into detailed report mappings.

  • Gather hierarchies/ roll up requirements and maintain a change tracker.

  • Work with Project Owners to determine test strategies and perform tests.

  • Escalate development/product issues as required.

  • Work with the reference data team to manage updates to alternate hierarchies.

  • Need a strong knowledge using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Need experience in building strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders, driving decision-making through a consensus-based approach.

  • Need experience leading workshops to effectively gather and interpret requirements from the Operation & Planning team as well as the Data Management team to translate them into functional specifications.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors.

  • Support Business and Functional Leads of the data warehouse to assess business impacts for each project or reference data request.

  • Support Business and Functional Leads in applying appropriate testing strategy to mitigate risks of data issues.

  • Support Business and Functional Leads in the creation and maintenance of the documentation (business processes, business requirements document, flows and diagrams).

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, econometrics or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • Background CPA is a plus.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a data Business Analyst role.

  • Advanced experience using Oracle tools.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with finance data and financial statements.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Bilingualism required (French / English) – For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
