Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is currently seeking a results-oriented individual to join the Marketing Business Unit (“MBU”) as an Analyst/Sr Analyst, Financial Planning, reporting to the Supervisor, Financial Planning & Reporting. The successful candidate will prepare financial forecasts, provide thoughtful analysis, and identify action items to support decision making. 
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Prepare monthly financial forecast and presentation materials for MBU;
-Develop and maintain financial models to support MBU by incorporating acquisitions, development projects, and new commercial activities;
-Identify and analyze variances to forecast, budget, prior periods; proactively identifying opportunities for improvement;
-Connect financial performance to underlying business drivers using clear, engaging, and easily understandable narratives;
-Identify and understand underlying business trends and challenges;
-Build internal relationships and liaise with various groups within Marketing and other Business/Service Units within Pembina to ensure that financial information flows to and from the Business Unit in a coordinated manner;
-Support MBU’s Financial Reporting;
-Mentoring other junior members of the team and taking initiatives on project work; and
-Contribute to an environment that promotes inclusion and diversity.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or another quantitative discipline;
-Possess or working toward advanced education (CFA, CPA, MBA) is considered a plus;
-3+ years of related industry experience, preferably in Investment Banking, Business/Corporate Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounting;
-Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to efficiently collect, analyze, and present information and data, and highlight key insights to support recommendations and decisions;
-Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint and proven ability to develop complex financial models and provide economic analysis;
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively across all levels of the organization; and
-Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects in a detailed and organized fashion, think independently and work collaboratively.
 
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
