Senior Financial Analyst, External Reporting

Adecco is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst, External Reporting for a full-time position with a reputable oil and gas company in Calgary, AB. The role involves preparing the interim and annual Consolidated Financial Statements and Annual Information Form, as well as assisting with the review of the MD&A, Supplemental Information, and supporting financial schedules. ·       Location: Calgary, AB |Hybrid | 4 days in office, 1 day work from home

·       Shifts: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/week

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Prepare the interim and annual Consolidated Financial Statements for the company and Annual Information Form.

·       Assist with the review of the quarterly and annual Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and Supplemental Information.

·       Review the accuracy and completeness of a variety of schedules to support the quarterly and annual financial documents.

·       Partner with the numerous teams across the company to deliver accurate, transparent and insightful financial reporting.

·       Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and implement process improvements.

·       Ensure adequate internal controls over financial reporting are in place.

·       Assist with the transition to Integrated Reporting.

·       Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

·       Hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·       A Chartered Professional Accountant Designation is required

·       8 - 10 years of related work experience

·       Possess working knowledge of IFRS and Continuous Disclosure requirements

·       Good knowledge of the oil and gas industry

·       Experience with WDesk and an ERP system (SAP) is preferred.

·       Internal controls over financial reporting - strong understanding of internal control framework.

·       Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·       Strong analytical and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to execute in a time-constrained environment

·       Excellent business writing and oral communication skills.

·       Collaborate effectively with others and work closely with the business and finance teams

·       Showcase strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail

·       Apply professional skepticism.

·       Seek opportunities to learn, gain experience and develop skills

·       Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
