Canon Medical Informatics seeks Sr. Implementation Project Manager to drive cross-functional execution of Canon Medical Informatics’ enterprise software to successful completion. This position will interact directly with our customers at both a senior management and technical level, along with interacting with internal cross-functional teams including sales, customer support, and engineering.

The role

The Sr. Implementation Project Manager is a key contributor in the identification of risks, problems, and obstacles that prevent work from getting done. Using influence, experience and their collaborative nature to identify and resolve problems, the Sr. Implementation Project Manager enables multiple projects and teams to move forward.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver successful implementation projects by operating under the standard project processes and best practices, determining resource requirements, schedule and budget.
  • Manage the customer relationship as the direct point of contact
  • Communicate project schedules, collaborating with local and global teams, and provide project status updates to the project teams and customer stakeholders
  • Plan and execute physician and process adoption programs
  • Designs the change process, strategy and approach
  • Takes responsibility and manages the change progress on a day-to-day basis.
  • Designs the communication strategy and contingency plans for the change.
  • Facilitates key events to build commitment for the change.
  • Create and monitor site specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage multiple projects from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections
  • Serve as mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products to clients
  • Develop, monitor, and continuously suggest improvements to the implementation process and procedures to be utilized for enterprise-wide client implementations through lessons learned
  • Ensure deliverables and documentation align with the Quality Management System
Must have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management working with enterprise wide system solutions
  • Experience implementing formal change management or adoption programs, medical imaging or healthcare IT industry preferred
  • Expertise in working with cross-functional, cross-discipline teams (especially sales, customer support and engineering)
  • Proven experience in complex systems implementations
  • Experience in the development of implementation methodologies for enterprise systems
  • Understand technical requirements for implementing a software solution in a Windows-based client/server, Linux-based server, and web-based environments
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers at a senior management and technical level
  • Effective in directing and leading implementation teams through collaboration and respect
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits excellent analytical, creative problem solving, strong planning and organizational skills
  • Manages multiple projects with changing prorities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Project Management techniques
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
