The Senior Planning Business Analyst gathers and manages business requirements by collaborating with various teams like Manufacturing, Marketing, and Retail. They work with architects to validate these requirements and assess associated risks.
The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, and either a college diploma or university degree in business or information systems, or equivalent experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business and IT Stakeholders, ITBP, Portfolio Architects and Enterprise Architecture to create Business cases for IT projects which includes new solution technology or capability and/or maintenance or enhancements with complexity.
Lead and participate in the alternative evaluation process; gather high level requirements, assist with score carding solution options, complete total cost of ownership and gather high level project costs.
Successfully manage multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously.
Collaborate with Corporate Project Management Office or IT operational teams to properly transition approved projects to Project teams for execution.
Engage with Application Advisors for assessment and business case development for requests.
Facilitate, design and document process mapping when applicable.
Utilize relevant business analysis techniques to perform solution analysis and design this could include but is not limited to:
o Requirements Management (requirements traceability, baselining, etc.)
o Enterprise Analysis (benchmark studies, feasibility analysis, SWOT, etc.)
o Requirements Elicitation (prototyping, reverse engineering, focus groups, interviews, etc.)
o Requirements Analysis (process modeling, organization modeling, use cases, etc.)
o Solution Assessment and Validation (user acceptance testing, defect and issue reporting,
o etc.)Coach and mentor IT operational teams on business analysis technique.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
College diploma or university degree in business or information systems or equivalent experience or combination thereof
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Minimum 5 years of experience using Sharepoint
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is considered an asset.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
ITIL Foundations is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Oil and Gas, specifically Downstream refining and Midstream Pipeline business is considered an asset.
1 year of prior experience using Visio
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
