This role is open to being 100% remote within Canada although our home office is in Toronto, Ontario. You may be required to travel to Toronto, Canada once per quarter for team and/or company events.

  • You'll be joining a tight-knit team of 22, who support ecobee web products
  • The team consists of PMs, Designers/Copywriters, and Developers who team up to ship new products and features on ecobee.com

Who we're looking for:

A Senior Product Manager with a customer-first mindset, who is passionate about creating a best-in-class user experience on . You are excited about leveraging data and consumer insights to identify and ship opportunities that improve the customer experience, and drive revenue growth on ecobee.com.

You enjoy working closely with multiple stakeholders, developing and executing an ongoing roadmap to improve our website experience and drive sales and customer satisfaction. You have an unrelenting passion for customer experiences, technical know-how to work with a strong team of developers and designers, and an understanding of e-Commerce businesses.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Develop the strategy and manage the product roadmap for
in collaboration with marketing, business development, product, customer service and operations * Deeply understand the user, our business, and the broader market
  • Leverage data and consumer insights to identify the right problems to solve, based on user and business impact
  • Prioritize product backlog, maintain well-defined user stories and plan out sprints with the development team
  • Use agile product management methods/scrum to facilitate daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Author product requirement documents to enable new functionality, product launches and promotions
  • Deliver new features with support from UX and Developer stakeholders
  • Manage the release schedule and launch timelines across different website initiatives
  • Implement a continuous improvement process. Ship frequently, and iterate
  • Manage A/B tests, analyze the results and implement improvements based on those results
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Solid track record or product management experience, preferably in the eComm space
  • Experience leading team of UX designer(s) and software engineer(s) to bring product or feature from inception to reality
  • You have led cross-functional teams, managing multiple timelines to successfully deliver projects in an agile environment
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills. You are comfortable with numbers, and can put together business cases to understand the benefit of new opportunities and prioritize a roadmap
  • Technical experience, with the ability to demonstrate the importance and impact of technical work to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of web development best practices and technologies such as content management systems and delivery networks
  • Understanding of website accessibility and knowledge of accessibility requirements
  • Understanding and experience managing of Shopify webstores
  • Effective communicator: strong presentation skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of organization
  • Self-starter, curious, and energetic

Interview Process.
  • A 30-minute phone/video call with a member in Talent Acquisition
  • A first round virtual interview with a cross-functional group of ecopeeps - expect technical, behavioural and situational questions
  • If your first round interview goes well, you can expect a take home case study, which you get a week to work on - you'll then come in virtually to present your solution to the team
