SUMMARY:
Buyers work to ensure optimum quality, pricing and delivery of components. Responsible for the development and maintenance of a specific group of commodities and vendors and is continuously focused on reducing the total cost of the finished products. The Buyer utilizes thorough analyses combined with experience, judgment and skilled negotiation to accomplish departmental goals and to meet performance targets set by management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manage assigned commodity
● Communicate & make decisions with Engineering team for deviations, specs changes, plating, raw materials
● Communicate with many vendors
● RFx preparation and analysis
● Ordering and following-up of parts for production etc
● Contract management - Manage the current contract template (Supplier requirement manual, Development Agreement, Letter of Intent, Limits of Liability) and its adaptation towards current reality in the market.
