Salary:

Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our
growing team. As the Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design,
optimization, and operation of our global projects as we commercialize the world's first closed-
loop geothermal systems. If you have a proven track record in Reservoir Engineering and a

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Thermodynamic Modeling and Simulation
    • Lead the development and refinement of thermodynamic models for closed-loop geothermal systems
    • Utilize Eavor's in-house modelling tools to provide production forecasts throughout the life cycle of our global projects (from feasibility to operation)
    • History match energy production and maintain up-to-date resource models as Eavor's projects become operational
  • System Design and Optimization
    • Design closed-loop geothermal systems, considering resource characteristics, fluid dynamics, and heat extraction requirements
    • Recommend optimization strategies, and resource management plans to maximize energy extraction efficiency
    • Build and implement standardized calculation methodologies to enable scalable design practices for Eavor's growing project portfolio
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teamwork
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including geologists, drilling engineers, process engineers, and development engineers to ensure integrated project development
    • Provide Reservoir Engineering expertise and insights in support of overall project goals
  • Training and Mentorship
    • Act as Eavor's Reservoir Engineering / thermodynamic modeling subject matter expert
    • Provide technical mentorship and support to Reservoir Engineering team
    • Check calculations and provide technical assurance on Reservoir Engineering deliverables

Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, or in a closely related field
  • Registration as a professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with APEGA is an asset
  • Proven experience (10 or more years) in Reservoir Engineering
  • Experience in Reservoir Engineering spanning both development and production operations
  • Experience with thermal recovery methods is required. Experience in other reservoir recovery methods is considered an asset (e.g., conventional, unconventional)
  • Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and other relevant engineering tools
  • Experience writing VBA, Python, R, or MATLAB code
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, data analysis
  • Data science skills and experience considered an asset
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and teamwork skills
  • Able to distill complex information down to concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team
