Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect. It is a 6-month hybrid contract opportunity (occasional visit on site) with a possibility of extension. This role is with our Crown corporation client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance.

The Senior Solutions Architect will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in architecture and business capabilities for subdomains of ERP functional area, focusing on the Human Capital Management (HCM) product area, and ensure design is aligned with business requirements in collaboration with the Solution Architect;

• Mentor and coach less experienced Business Analyst team members in carrying out business analysis related activities, and coordinate and delegate tasks as required;

• Develop domain specific roadmaps working closely with Enterprise Architecture (capability mapping methodology)

• Requirements management (requirements traceability, baselining, etc.) and Industry analysis (benchmark studies, SWOT, etc.);

• Requirements elicitation (prototyping, reverse engineering, focus groups, interviews, etc.);

• Requirements analysis such as analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications (process modelling, organization modelling, use cases, etc.);

• Solution assessment and validation (IT Reviews, Feasibility Assessments, support of the user acceptance testing, defect and issue reporting, etc.);;

• Drive the definition, design, optimization, improvement, and approved changes to new and existing business processes and IT solutions via development of business and functional requirements like Identify the current and future-state business processes, help the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to be road mapped and prioritized to support the future, determine operational objectives by studying critical business functions (“CBFs”), gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats;

• Provide continuous improvement services to improve existing business processes and inform the Business Solution Delivery leadership team of potential continuous improvement opportunities;

• Manage process conformance and compliance as appropriate (e.g. PCI);

• Support change management activities as appropriate;

• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends;

• Support the SL by providing business insight for the development of strategic solutions aligned to architecture, standards, principles and best practices;

The Senior Solutions Architect must meet the following mandatory requirements:

• Must have 5+ years’ experience in effectively interacting and communicating with Human Resource business teams; can consolidate Human Resource business requirements and translate them into IT deliverables;

• Must have 5+ years’ experience in Human Resource capability mapping to ensure tactical and strategic business goals are addressed;

• Must be familiar with business engineering system concepts and principles as well as complex modelling techniques, able to align business unit sub-processes to enterprise business processes and able to lead functional requirement walk through and quality reviews;

• Must be able to identify the effectiveness and completeness of business and technology strategies and ensure alignment with IT and other applicable cross-organization strategies;

• Must have deep knowledge (5+ years) of business context and mode of operations;

• Must have 8+ years years’ experience managing, mentoring and coaching others;

• Must have experience using Jira for Agile software development;

• Proven ability to identify, formalize, and problem solve business needs;

• Experience in contributing to the success of a range of small-to-medium initiatives with escalating levels of complexity and business criticality;

Nice to Have:

• Knowledgeable in release / deployment management

• Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.

• Mature perspective on architecture principles and frameworks

• Understands principles of iterative development, and able to document business requirements as Agile user stories.

• S4/Hana project experience

• Experience in a business analyst role and / or in progressively advancing roles within IT
