The incumbent will join the Service Management Office (SMO) architecture team as a Solution Architect (SARC) for billing and receivables programs. This role is pivotal for project delivery, ensuring the Charter is clear and complete, providing inputs to the Business Scope and boundaries, developing Integrated Conceptual Solutions with our internal/external partners, and providing Recommendations/Approaches for the projects. The primary focus of SARC is to make people and processes within the organization more effective by ensuring the project implements optimal end-to-end solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Business and Solution Architecture, the incumbent will have to contribute in several phases of the project delivery such as planning, design, conception and implementation with different level of involvement from project to project. For the billing and receivables programs, SARC will establish a vision and roadmap that interlock with the other domains in order to improve service experiences continuously by leveraging different opportunities to move towards target architecture

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain architecture vision, strategy and roadmap for billing and receivables domains - provide guidance/recommendations for project timing, synergies and dependencies.
• Review and understand roadmaps beyond billing and receivables programs in order to ensure interlock with other domains.
• Optimize delivery processes of order to payment to ensure best collection result.
• Facilitate Integrated Solutions Team working sessions with Program Planner, Network, Technology Development (TD), Information Technology (IT), Product and other partners.
• Participate to Architecture Council to present project charters, conceptual solutions, change requests, etc.
• Develop Integrated Conceptual Solution that includes IT Solution, TD Solution, Network solution, Ops Model and all other solutions from other areas.
• Provide recommendations for project delivery approach (Phasing, Scoping, Synergies and Dependencies between initiatives, etc.)
• Manage assessment for cost, resources and systems impacts related to project.
• Create and update referral architecture documentation for billing and receivables domains, UML diagrams, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, etc.
• Be a subject matter expert (SME) for billing and receivables domains.
• Contribute to the Change Management Plan.
• Ensure integrity, coherence and optimal performance of our end-to-end solutions and take charge of complex problems.
• Research best practices; keep abreast of internal and external capabilities and products in order to determine implementation plans to deliver optimal solution.
• Participate to the Project Planning sessions, Project Status Meetings/Scrums and Lessons Learned.
• Lead resolution of issues that may require changes to end-to-end solution

Critical Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience delivering scalable enterprise systems in computer and networking technology preferably in a telecommunication environment.
• 3+ years of experience with business process re-engineering for service operations.
• Proven hands-on experience as a Solution Architect.
• Good knowledge of Technical Architecture and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture principles.
• Excellent knowledge of the billing and receivables processes & systems and their financial impacts in a complex national & international ecosystem.
• Knowledge of BBM billing & receivables ecosystem is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites of tools.
• Ability to prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks, directly or indirectly related to deliverables, in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision.
• Team oriented who is able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to build bridges with technical & non-technical teams and influence others to move toward consensus.
• Strong hands-on technical skills, an analytical problem-solving mindset, ability to deal with ambiguity, delivery focus and client-orientation are all critical.
• Experience in Agile environment is desirable.
• Knowledge of technologies and protocols like REST, JSON, TCP/IP, HTTP, cXML, EDI, SQL is desirable.
• Knowledge on architecture framework like eTOM and/or TOGAF is an asset.
• ITIL certification is an asset.

Additional Requirements

Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet hard timeline.
