This is a remote position but we are only hiring candidates who currently live in Canada.
We specialize in supporting companies that have a big vision. We have expertise in more complicated accounting for industries such as technology and manufacturing, and are an excellent learning environment for CPAs and CPA candidates.
As an Tax specialist, you will work directly with our fabulous clients and be responsible for:

• Filing T1 personal tax and proprietorships and T2 corporate tax returns
• Produce compilations for our T2 clients
• Complete tax planning projects with clients, to maximize owner compensation, tax credit programs, and corporate tax.
• Support the team to plan out and execute tax-related projects throughout the year

Requirements:

• CPA designation (or in progress)
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in public practice or industry
• Minimum 3 years filing T2s and producing complilations
• Enjoy working collaboratively
• Tech savvy with a kaizen attitude
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

It's an asset if you have...

• Experience with QuickBooks Online, especially ProTax; Xero; or other Cloud-based solutions
• Experience with inventory/manufacturing, technology, start-up companies

For our CPA candidates, we do not have a pre-approved program due to the nature of the complexity of our roles; however, you would have access to a CPA mentor within the firm and all previous CPA Candidates were successful with completing the higher level competency requirements for the experience report route with ease.
